Use this guide after the story starts branching: finish NPC closure, track tool mastery, craft furniture sets by family, and treat platform completion rates as a priority signal.
Steam currently lists 32 Winter Burrow achievements. The global page checked on July 15, 2026 ranges from Protector of Dreams at 85.0% to Pine House at 7.3%. Those figures move as more people play, so the checklist records the check date rather than presenting the rate as permanent. The distribution is still useful: opening repairs and region discoveries sit near the top, NPC closure and tool families sit in the middle, and every material-specific furniture set is below 11%. That tells you how to order cleanup. Finish the story while each quest state is fresh, verify the three real tool tiers, build useful cooking and knitting totals, then reserve the long furniture families for the end.

Story Achievements: Finish the Emotional Threads
Most players will unlock early story achievements by following the main arc, but the late ones need deliberate routing. Moss is the key example. Finding Pinesap is not one pickup; it is a chain: meet Moss, deliver 3 Snow Fox Fur Tufts, retrieve the Heavy Key, finish the Aunty and Moss follow-ups, collect the Fine Woollen Hood, hand it in, then return to that clearing with the Flint Pickaxe and break the left-side Flint boulders. Reaching a landmark before its task is active will not close the achievement. Bufo, Pollywog and Willow follow the same rule: finish the character's final conversation rather than stopping at the location.

Tool Achievements: Axes and Pickaxes Need Patch-Aware Tracking
Tool mastery is the first place to slow down. Steam lists Axe Master at 39.1% and Pickaxe Champion at 37.1% in the July 15 snapshot. The real progression families are Sandstone, Granite, and Flint; there is no Steel tier in the released game. Keep the distinction between a recipe card and a finished tool. Bufo hands over the Sandstone Pickaxe after the 5 Pebbles and 2 Twigs request, while later Pickaxes are unlocked through NPC progress and made at the burrow. Steam discussion threads include reports of tool achievements not triggering, but a report is not proof that every save is broken. Verify all three named tiers on the current patch and preserve the save before restarting.
Track sandstone, granite, and flint axe states separately.
For pickaxes, note whether the tier was crafted, awarded, or unlocked as a recipe.
If a platform bug is suspected, check current patch notes and community discussions before restarting a save.

Furniture Set Achievements: Work by Material Family
Furniture achievements are easy to underestimate because decorating feels freeform while Steam counts exact families. Twig House needs 8 pieces. Oak House, Pebble House, Birch House, Fibre House, and Pine House each need 9. Full House needs 30 furniture pieces overall. Craft one family at a time, write down each finished object, and only mark an item after the craft completes. If the ninth piece is absent, do not make random duplicates first. Check the full scrollable menu, room and workstation progress, and whether the matching material is available. The current global rates, from 10.3% for Twig House down to 7.3% for Pine House, show why a literal checklist matters.
This official unlock screen confirms that furniture designs have entered the crafting pool. It does not prove a Steam set achievement is complete, so keep the separate item count.

Collection Achievements: Clothing, Recipes, and Quest Objects
Collection cleanup should wait until route safety is solved. Hot Knitting Needles asks for 8 knitted clothing pieces, Yearning for Yarn asks for 50 balls of yarn, and Culinary Completionist asks for 100 cooked recipes. These are production totals, not a demand to discover 100 unique dishes. Use them to support the run: knit pieces that fill real warmth slots, spin yarn needed by tools and clothing, and cook pies, tea, stew, or other supplies you will carry. Quest objects still follow NPC state rather than a counter. Never assume the first clue is the final hand-in; the Moss chain continues beyond the Heavy Key, shawl, and Fine Woollen Hood.

Map-related achievements are less about distance and more about landmarks. The updated in-game map handles broad orientation, but route grammar still matters: shoreline, stone gate, grass band, hollow log, Granite boulders, broken logs, campfire. If you can say the route in a sentence, you can repeat it. If you only remember "south somewhere", you will waste warmth. Use the map guide and gameplay screenshots to confirm entry, midpoint, and completion point for each route. On late cleanup runs, return after the achievement action instead of filling the bag with unrelated materials.

Guide Step
A Practical 100 Percent Order
The clean order is simple. First, finish the main story through Aunty, Bufo, Gnawtusk, Moss, Willow, and the final feast. Second, obtain or craft the Sandstone, Granite, and Flint tool families while route gates are fresh in memory. Third, let normal cooking, knitting, yarn, wood, and combat actions build the cumulative totals. Fourth, craft Twig, Oak, Pebble, Birch, Fibre, and Pine furniture by family, using Full House and Master Builder as overlapping totals. If an unlock still fails after its exact requirement is visible, preserve the save, record the last action and platform, then use the troubleshooting page before replaying hours of story.

Home and exploration
Early repairs, region discoveries, and repeatable field actions, ordered by the current Steam global unlock rate.
Protector of Dreams
Crafting
This confirms the bed has been crafted and placed, not merely unlocked in a menu.
Knitting Advocate
Crafting
Repairing the armchair opens the knitting loop used by clothing and yarn achievements.
Keen on Cooking
Crafting
The repaired stove is the prerequisite for route food and the later cooking total.
Basement Dweller
Exploration
Opening the basement is a concrete home-progression checkpoint and later seasonal content uses that space.
Gnarled Discoveries
Exploration
This is the first region-discovery check and proves the main route has opened beyond the burrow.
Gloomy Adventures
Exploration
Shadow Pines is the route context for Moss, the Heavy Key, and the Pinesap chain.
A Full Basket
Collection
Steam defines this as collecting 100 pieces of wood, so it rewards normal tool and furniture gathering rather than a unique route.
Reach for the Stars!
Crafting
Unlocking the first floor proves the home restoration has moved beyond the opening room.
Mouse of the Wild
Exploration
Steam requires a campfire built in the wilderness, not a fire used inside the burrow.
Frozen Horizons
Exploration
White Pillars is the region gate for Willow and several late route checks.
Story and NPC closure
Steam hides the descriptions for these story achievements; finish the named quest chain and its final dialogue instead of guessing an extra crafting condition.
Bridge of Reunion
Story
It is an early hidden story achievement tied to the bridge and reunion sequence.
Aunty's Saviour
Story
This confirms the Aunty rescue thread is closed, not merely that her location was reached.
Friends in a Nutshell
Story
This hidden NPC achievement sits behind the Gnawtusk quest chain rather than a general collection counter.
Family Reunion
Story
The Bufo and Pollywog closure also unlocks the Flint Pickaxe recipe used by later routes.
Moss Moves On
Story
It proves the full Moss and Pinesap chain is complete, not only the Heavy Key or hood pickup.
Willow's Epiphany
Story
Willow's chain combines Notebook, tunnel, Mole Artifact, and later conversation states.
Let's Start Over
Story
Steam hides the requirement, so it should be treated as a late story-state check rather than an invented item recipe.
A Well-Earned Feast
Story
This is a late hidden story achievement associated with the concluding feast rather than the 100-cook counter.
Tools, cooking, knitting, and combat
Exact Steam counter and craft requirements, ordered by global unlock rate.
Hot Knitting Needles
Collection
Steam requires 8 knitted clothing pieces, so duplicate usable crafts can advance the total.
Yearning for Yarn
Collection
Steam requires 50 balls of yarn, which is a production total rather than a list of unique patterns.
Axe Master
Crafting
Steam defines the requirement as crafting all axes; the real tier names are Sandstone, Granite, and Flint.
Culinary Completionist
Collection
Steam requires 100 cooked recipes, so repeated useful meals count toward a production total.
Pickaxe Champion
Crafting
Steam names the real achievement and defines it as crafting all pickaxes.
Master Builder
Crafting
Steam requires 150 woodworking crafts, so tools and furniture both contribute to a long production total.
Pest Control
Combat
Steam requires 100 creature kills, making this a cumulative combat goal rather than a boss or location check.
Furniture completion
The lowest Steam completion rates belong to exact furniture totals and material-family sets.
Twig House
Furniture
Steam requires 8 pieces from the twig furniture set.
Full House
Furniture
Steam requires 30 furniture pieces across the burrow, independent of a single material family.
Oak House
Furniture
Steam requires 9 pieces from the oak furniture set.
Pebble House
Furniture
Steam requires 9 pieces from the pebble furniture set.
Birch House
Furniture
Steam requires 9 pieces from the birch furniture set.
Fibre House
Furniture
