Where to Find Flint in Winter Burrow – Early Spots, Boulders & Farming Loop

⚠️ Don’t burn your flint

Save 5–6 pieces for the Flint Axe and Flint Pickaxe first. Players who crafted advanced kindling early often ended up soft-locked and spent hours searching for more flint. Use sticks/birch/resin for fires instead.

Early-game: loose flint (no pickaxe)

Flint is darker and sharper than granite pebbles. Grab guaranteed ground spawns before you craft tools.

• Between Aunty & Bufo: scan path edges for dark shards on the ground.
• Abandoned Backpack SW of Bufo’s pond: grab the guaranteed 1x flint stash.
• Learn the look so you do not skip early pieces.

Back-of-Rock & Backpack Stashes

Check tucked-away angles so you do not miss guaranteed or hidden shards.

• South-west of Bufo’s pond: an abandoned backpack with a guaranteed flint—hug the waterline and check behind the grass tuft.
• Path bends with tall rocks: pan your camera around rock backs; flint shards often sit just out of your main line of sight.
• Under dead tree roots: scan root bases near path forks; flint can spawn in the shadow line.

Mid-game: flint boulders (with Flint Pickaxe)

Once you have a pickaxe, hit boulders for bulk flint.

• North of Moss’s house: clusters of flint boulders—break them for multiple pieces.
• Revisit the Aunty↔Bufo corridor; boulders hide near path bends.

Route Cards

• Route A (30–40 min): Aunty → Bufo (check backpack) → Moss (break 2–3 boulders) → Home.
• Route B (45–60 min): Home → Big Valley loops (two circles) → North ridge (boulders) → Home.

Farming & respawn

Ground spawns refresh about every 12 in-game hours.

• Run an Aunty → Bufo → Moss loop, then head home.
• Prioritize Flint Axe / Pickaxe; skip non-essential flint crafts early.
• Stash surplus flint at home; don’t sell it.

Stay safe and efficient while farming.

• Bring a lantern for night runs; set small chests at loop midpoints.
• Carry one hot tea to cover cold spikes near Moss.
